Company Overview
VEC is the parent company for several divisions including Valley Electrical, VEC Systems Integrator and Evets Oil & Gas Construction Services. Since 1975, Valley Electrical has set the standard for successful heavy industrial construction. VEC Systems Integrator was created in 2001 to meet the low-voltage and information-technology demands of customers. 2003 saw the acquisition of Evets Electric Inc., one of the largest specialty electrical contractors in the country focusing on the oil and gas industries; this has provided VEC with increased prominence in electrical contracting across a broader spectrum of construction sectors. Evets also provides mechanical and civil services. In 2014, Evets Fabrication Services was created, focusing on the needs of oil and gas construction companies working in the Marcellus and Utica Shale Plays.
Company History
Founded in Youngstown, Ohio in 1975, Valley Electrical Consolidated, Inc. (VEC) started as a family-owned business providing electrical contracting services to the region’s many factories, production lines, steel mills and GM’s new Lordstown, Ohio plant. By the mid-1990s, VEC had expanded into new markets, adding diverse capabilities and gaining experience, cultivating expertise and respect as it grew.
