Established in 1924, The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company (HWC) has been involved in the effective construction of utility facilities ever since. The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company is the senior member of a four company corporate group, Utility Supply and Construction Company, providing safe, quality service to the utility industry 100% of the time.
Established in 1963, Power Line Supply Company (PLS) provides material distribution logistics, acquisition, packaging, metering, protective equipment testing, tool repair, and technical services consulting. PLS is the nation’s largest independently owned utility specific distributor.
Crossroad Mobile Maintenance (CRMM) is a utility focused, full-service provider specializing in utility and construction fleet management and maintenance. With shop service locations across the Midwest, 20 mobile service trucks, and over 50 years of experience in the industry, we are able to fulfill your needs for field and shop service, vehicle and equipment parts, vehicle and equipment design and fabrication, and training and technical support.
Established in 1985, Hydrolake Incorporated produces environmentally friendly treated wood products. With operations strategically divided between McBain and Grayling locations, Hydrolake Incorporated provides peeling, custom kiln drying of softwood lumber and CCA pressure treating services to soft wood lumber purveyors, prescribes timber harvest programs to landowners, and in addition to delivery logistics of its own product, retails and provides point of consumption delivery of poles up to 125’ in length in all species of wood.
