Company History
EnviroVantage Owner/President Scott Knightly is a pioneer in the abatement industry. He started this company (originally known as Seacoast Diversified) in 1984 to fulfill the historic building restoration needs of the Seacoast and Southern New Hampshire. While working on restoring old building throughout New England, employees were constantly running into lead painted components.
At that point in time, there were no Federal, State, Local or OSHA regulations governing the lead removal process in construction. Realizing that there was a tremendous need for lead paint inspection and abatement in the state, EnviroVantage’s team started a new division of the company to focus on lead paint abatement.
In 1989, Scott formed Lead Source, which became the first licensed lead abatement contractor in the state of New Hampshire acquiring Lead License C001.
As Lead Source employees honed their skills and the company became well established in the field of lead abatement, it became apparent that many of their projects also involved additional environmental contaminants such as asbestos, mold, PCBs, mercury and other hazardous materials. As these issues arose in the early years, Lead Source trained and equipped its already highly qualified staff to handle these conditions as well.
In 2006, after a 20+ year evolutionary process of introducing additional services, we realized that it was time to change our name to more accurately depict what we had developed into a nationwide one stop resource for lead paint, asbestos, mold, demolition and environmental clean-up. Thus, EnviroVantage, Inc. was born.
Over the past 30 years, EnviroVantage has established a strong reputation as New England’s most trusted Environmental & Specialty Services Contractor. We offer high quality work at competitive prices and we will continue to lead the industry by delivering innovative strategies, exceptional performance and superior customer service.
